Key Points - Hajj & Umrah Vaccine & Certificate
If you are planning to go on Hajj or Umrah, make sure that you are familiar with the mandatory vaccination requirements for Saudi Arabia.
- All Hajj and Umrah travellers (adults and children over the age of one) or those with a seasonal work visa for hajj zones in Saudi are required to present a valid Meningitis ACWY vaccine certificate.
- The Meningitis ACWY vaccine must be administered no less than 10 days prior to the arrival date in Saudi.
Vaccination with ONE of the following vaccines is acceptable:
- Quadrivalent (ACWY) polysaccharide vaccine within the last three years.
- Quadrivalent (ACWY) conjugate vaccine within the last five years.
If the vaccine type is not indicated on the certificate, it will be considered valid for three years. You should also check the requirements for covid-19 vaccination and testing.
